Mobile Pet Grooming Service | Miami-Dade County, Florida

(786) 202-0404 | exclusivepetgrooming@gmail.com | exclusivepetgrooming.com

Effective Date: June 1, 2025 • Reviewed Annually

By scheduling an appointment with Exclusive Pet Grooming, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to the following terms. These terms apply to all grooming services, add-ons, and treatments provided through our mobile grooming operation.

Grooming involves working with live animals in a hands-on environment. Reactions to the process can vary based on temperament, health, age, coat condition, and stress level. Our team takes every reasonable precaution to ensure a safe, comfortable, and professional experience for every pet in our care.

1.

OWNER RESPONSIBILITY

By leaving your pet in our care, you acknowledge that grooming may involve certain risks, including but not limited to stress reactions, sensitivity to products, or complications related to undisclosed health conditions. You accept responsibility for your pet and confirm that, to the best of your knowledge, you have provided accurate and complete information about your pet’s health, behavior, and grooming history. Exclusive Pet Grooming is not liable for injury, illness, or adverse reactions resulting from:

• Pre-existing or undisclosed medical conditions.

• Behavioral challenges or resistance during grooming

• Stress responses related to the grooming process

• Coat or skin conditions that were not communicated prior to the appointment

• Age-related sensitivities in senior pets

Liability is limited except in cases of proven negligence on the part of Exclusive Pet Grooming.

2.

HEALTH AND MEDICAL CONDITIONS

Grooming can place physical and emotional demands on a pet, particularly those with known or unknown health conditions. You agree that Exclusive Pet Grooming is not financially responsible for veterinary costs resulting from:

• Pre-existing conditions that are discovered or aggravated during grooming

• Stress-related episodes, including cardiac or respiratory events in at-risk pets

• Skin irritation, rashes, or reactions to grooming products

• Cuts, nicks, or abrasions near moles, skin tags, warts, or undetected abnormalities

If a product reaction is suspected as a result of our grooming service, Exclusive Pet Grooming will offer a hypoallergenic bath to address the concern. All veterinary expenses beyond that are the financial responsibility of the pet owner.

Please notify us prior to your appointment if your pet is on medication, has a heart condition, seizure history, skin sensitivities, allergies, or any other condition that may affect how they respond to grooming. This information helps us provide the safest possible service.

3.

SENIOR AND HIGH-RISK PETS

Senior pets and medically compromised animals require additional care and consideration during grooming. These pets may have reduced tolerance for standing, handling, or temperature changes. In some cases, grooming may need to be modified, shortened, or discontinued entirely based on how the pet responds.

Clients with senior or medically at-risk pets will be asked to sign a separate Senior and Medical Release Form prior to service.

This form acknowledges the elevated grooming risks associated with older or compromised animals and confirms that the owner accepts financial responsibility for any veterinary care that may be needed as a result.

IMPORTANT

Exclusive Pet Grooming reserves the right to stop service at any time if a senior or at-risk pet shows signs of distress. In the event of a medical emergency, we may seek immediate veterinary care at the owner’s expense.

4.

MATTING AND COAT CONDITION

Matted coats require additional time, skill, and care beyond a standard grooming service. When a pet arrives with moderate to severe matting, a dematting fee will be applied based on the time and effort required to address the coat safely.

Dematting Fees

$35.00 for the first 30 minutes of dematting. $1.50 per additional minute beyond the initial 30 minutes. This fee is assessed during the appointment once the coat has been evaluated.

Shave-Down Policy

In cases of severe matting where dematting is not humane or safe, a shave-down may be required using a close blade. A shave-down fee starting at $20.00 applies when this service is necessary. This approach allows the coat to grow back more evenly and promotes healthier regrowth over time.

Clients with matted pets will be asked to sign a Matted Pet Release Form prior to service. This form acknowledges that:

• Dematting or shaving may reveal pre-existing skin conditions not visible through the coat

• The process carries a risk of minor skin irritation, nicks, or abrasions

• Exclusive Pet Grooming will use professional judgment to determine the safest course of action

IMPORTANT

Dematting and shave-down fees may apply even if the full grooming service cannot be completed due to the pet’s condition or behavior.

5.

BEHAVIOR AND HANDLING

Our groomers are trained to handle pets with patience, care, and professionalism. However, some pets require additional time, breaks, or assistance due to anxiety, stress, or resistance during grooming. In those situations, a handling fee may be applied based on the level of care required.

Handling fees are assessed during the appointment and reflect the additional time and resources required, including the pet’s resistance, stress behaviors, breaks needed for safety, or the involvement of an additional team member.

If your pet has known anxiety or behavioral challenges, please let us know before your appointment. This allows us to prepare accordingly and ensure the most comfortable experience possible.

IMPORTANT

Exclusive Pet Grooming reserves the right to modify or stop a grooming service if a pet becomes unsafe to handle. Handling fees may still apply even if the service cannot be completed in full. The safety of your pet and our team is always the priority.

6.

GROOMING TIMES AND SERVICE COMPLETION

Exclusive Pet Grooming operates on a mobile, one-on-one service model. Each pet receives the groomer’s full, undivided attention throughout the appointment. Grooming times vary based on breed, coat condition, size, behavior, and the services requested.

We do not guarantee specific completion times. All time estimates provided at booking or during the appointment are approximations. We do not rush grooming. Doing so can compromise the quality of the service and the well-being of the pet.

Clients will be notified by call or text when their pet’s grooming session is complete. We ask that pickup occur promptly, as our vans are in service throughout the day and do not function as a waiting or holding facility.

7.

APPOINTMENT ARRIVAL WINDOW

Exclusive Pet Grooming operates on a standard two-hour arrival window for all scheduled appointments. Your groomer will provide an estimated time of arrival on the day of service, and updates will be communicated if the schedule shifts earlier or later than anticipated.

Please ensure that your pet is ready and accessible at the time of the scheduled window. If the groomer arrives and the client is unavailable, the appointment will be canceled and the $35 deposit will be forfeited.

8.

FLEA AND TICK POLICY

The health and safety of every pet in our care is non-negotiable. Exclusive Pet Grooming does not bathe pets with active flea or tick infestations, as this poses a risk to other pets serviced in the same van on the same day. If an infestation is discovered at the time of the appointment, the service will not be performed and alternative options will be provided.

If a small number of fleas or one to two ticks are found at the start of the appointment, a specialized treatment shampoo will be used automatically and an additional service fee will apply. This product helps eliminate parasites, soothes the skin, and provides ongoing protection.

9.

DEPOSITS AND PAYMENT

A $35.00 deposit is required at the time of booking for new clients, non-recurring clients, and one-time appointments. This deposit is applied toward the total cost of your grooming service.

Established clients on a consistent recurring schedule may have their deposit requirement waived at the discretion of Exclusive Pet Grooming.

Payment for services is due at the time of service. We accept cash, tap-to-pay credit card, and Zelle, in that order of preference. If a client is unable to complete payment on the day of service, a card on file may be charged. Clients who repeatedly delay payment may be required to maintain a card on file as a condition of continued service.

10.

CANCELLATIONS AND NO-SHOWS

Out of respect for our team’s time and schedule, the following cancellation policy applies to all appointments:

Cancellations must be communicated directly by phone, text, or through the booking system used at the time of scheduling. Messages received outside of business hours (8:00 AM to 5:00 PM) do not constitute valid notice for the following business day’s appointments. In cases involving documented family emergencies or other genuine uncontrollable circumstances, cancellation fees may be waived at the groomer’s discretion, provided the client communicates the situation within 48 hours of the appointment.

12.

SERVICE CORRECTIONS

If you are unsatisfied with any aspect of your pet’s grooming, please contact us within 24 hours of the appointment. We will schedule a correction appointment to address the concern at no additional charge.

Corrections will not be offered for grooming outcomes that result from matting, coat damage, pre-existing conditions, or limitations communicated to the client prior to or during the groom. Refunds, if applicable, are limited to the specific service in question and are evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

13.

SPECIALTY COAT ACKNOWLEDGMENTS

Short-Coated Breeds

Shaving or close-clipping short-coated breeds can increase skin sensitivity and may reveal pre-existing conditions not visible through the coat. Minor irritation is possible following service. Coat regrowth may vary. The client acknowledges these risks when requesting this service. A Short-Coated Dog Shave Acknowledgment & Release must be signed prior to the service.

Double-Coated Breeds

Shaving a double-coated breed goes against standard grooming best practices and may cause long-term coat damage, including altered texture and uneven or incomplete regrowth. Exclusive Pet Grooming will advise against this service when appropriate. If the client proceeds against the groomer’s recommendation, a Double-Coated Breed Shave Release & Acknowledgment must be signed prior to the service.

14.

NON-ANESTHETIC DENTAL SERVICES

Exclusive Pet Grooming offers basic dental maintenance and non-anesthetic dental scaling performed by a formally trained team member. This service is appropriate for light to moderate tartar buildup in otherwise healthy, cooperative pets.

Non-anesthetic dental scaling is not a substitute for veterinary dental care. The service will be discontinued or deferred if the pet shows signs of significant anxiety, diseased gums, advanced dental disease, or is otherwise not a suitable candidate at the time of the appointment. The dental technician’s assessment is final.

Exclusive Pet Grooming is not responsible for dental or health complications related to pre-existing oral conditions. All clients requesting dental services acknowledge these limitations.

15.

RIGHT TO REFUSE SERVICE

Exclusive Pet Grooming reserves the right to refuse service to any pet or client for any reason, including but not limited to safety concerns, undisclosed aggression, health conditions that make grooming inadvisable, or a history of policy violations.

A refusal of service does not entitle the client to a refund of any previously paid deposits or fees.

16.

COMMUNICATIONS AND TEXT MESSAGING

By providing your phone number and booking an appointment, you consent to receive service-related text messages from Exclusive Pet Grooming, including appointment confirmations, arrival updates, and service reminders. Standard message and data rates may apply.

Opt-in data and consent for text messaging will not be shared with any third parties, with the exception of providers and aggregators directly involved in message delivery.

To opt out of text communications, reply STOP to any message or contact us directly at (786) 202-0404.
