OUR SERVICES

Cat Grooming

Feline grooming requires a different kind of patience, technique, and understanding. Our certified cat grooming specialist brings the same standard of one-on-one care to your cat that Exclusive Pet Grooming has delivered for over 20 years.

Calm handling. No cage waiting. A mobile environment designed to keep your cat comfortable from start to finish.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Every Cat Appointment Includes

FELINE GROOMING

Why Cat Grooming Requires a Specialist

Cats are not small dogs. Their skin is more sensitive, their stress responses are faster, and their tolerance for handling varies significantly from animal to animal. Knowing how to groom a dog does not mean you know how to groom a cat. It is a completely different way of grooming, with its own handling methods, its own techniques, and its own understanding of the animal.

Our cat grooming specialist works exclusively with cats, bringing focused expertise in feline handling, temperament assessment, and coat-specific technique.

Every cat appointment is approached at the cat’s pace, not the clock’s.

WHY MOBILE

Why Mobile Is Better for Cats

Most cats find travel stressful. Combining that with a loud salon environment, the smell of dogs, and unfamiliar equipment creates a grooming experience that many cats simply will not tolerate.

When we come to you, your cat skips the car ride entirely. Grooming happens at your driveway in a quiet, controlled van with no dogs present, no waiting in a cage, and no added stressors that make future grooming harder.

The result is a calmer cat, a better groom, and a grooming experience your cat can actually get used to over time.

OUR APPROACH

What Makes Our Feline Grooming Different

Cat grooming is as much about reading the animal as it is about technique. Our approach is built on patience, observation, and adapting to what each individual cat needs on the day of the appointment.

#1

Feline-Specific Technique

Cats have thinner skin, faster stress responses, and unique coat structures. Every aspect of the service is adapted for feline physiology, not borrowed from canine methods.

#2

Paced to the Cat

We work at the pace the cat sets. If that means extra breaks, slower handling, or adjusting the service order, we adjust. The goal is a complete, stress-free groom, not a fast one.

#3

No Dogs Present

Your cat is not sharing a van, a waiting area, or a schedule with dogs.

#4

Cage-Free Throughout

No waiting in a kennel before the appointment begins and no holding after it ends. Your cat is handled directly from arrival to completion.

#5

Temperament Assessment

Every cat is assessed at the start of the appointment. Service may be modified or stopped if the cat shows signs of significant stress. Your cat’s wellbeing always takes priority.

#6

At Your Driveway

No car ride. No unfamiliar building. Grooming happens steps from your front door in a quiet, controlled mobile environment.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you groom all cat breeds?

Yes. Our cat grooming services are open to all breeds, sizes, and coat types. Service may be modified based on individual temperament and coat condition, which is assessed at the start of every appointment.

Not at all. First-time grooming cats simply require a bit more patience and a slower approach. Our groomer will work at your cat’s pace and adjust the service as needed. Let us know when booking that it will be your cat’s first professional groom.

No. Your cat will not share the van, the schedule, or the environment with dogs. The appointment is one-on-one from start to finish.

Every cat has a different comfort level. If your cat becomes overly stressed and it is no longer safe to continue, we will stop the grooming session. Your cat’s wellbeing always comes first. We will explain what was completed, discuss the next steps, and review any applicable charges before ending the appointment.

In most cases, yes. Matting is common in long-haired cats and is handled based on severity. Light matting can often be worked out during the appointment. Heavy or pelted matting may require a shave down for your cat’s comfort and safety, which the groomer will discuss with you before proceeding. Dematting and detangling beyond the standard service are billed as add-ons.

We use products selected specifically for feline skin, which is thinner and more sensitive than a dog’s. We never use dog products on cats. If your cat has a known skin condition or sensitivity, let us know when booking so we can plan accordingly.

It depends on your cat’s coat type, length, and condition. Short-haired cats may only need professional grooming two to four times a year. Long-haired breeds or cats prone to matting benefit from more frequent appointments. Your groomer can recommend an appropriate schedule at the end of your first appointment.

Payment is due at the time of service. We accept cash, Zelle, and checks.

Yes. Introducing a kitten to grooming early helps build a positive lifelong association with the process. We keep first kitten appointments calm and patient, and we go at the kitten’s pace so the experience is a good one.
